German Soldiers in WW2 were the main fighting force of the Heer. The Wehrmacht, or Nazi Germany's armed forces, had many divisions and specializations of soldiers who fought for Hitler's Reich. In the Heer, a battalion usually was comprised of one SMG gunner, one MMG gunner, a supplier, and a couple of riflemen. A MMG gunner usually carried one ammo pouch, one Gurt 34 ammunition belt, a gas mask canister, and a water bottle.
