These female associates of the SS usually were seen with wives of Nazi officials. Many of them were trained to use a pistol and melee defense. The SS recruited women capable of being guardians both at the home and at work. During events such as Nazi gatherings or dinner parties hosted by Hitler, guests could be accompanied by these guards for protection.
