For all the lovers of C418's classic soundtrack, or maybe just the people that are mildly annoyed that Mojang keeps making music play in places it's obviously not supposed to (swamp music plays practically everywhere in vanilla), this pack reworks music so that old biomes don't play music that isn't written for them! Also rebalances Nether Music so that C418's tracks play more often.

This pack is compatible with both Bedrock and Java Edition, but stylized after Java. An explanation of what this means can be found after the features list. A version stylized after Bedrock Edition can be found here.

Features:
  • Biomes that aren't Mangrove Swamps no longer play Swamp Music!
  • Biomes that aren't Cherry Groves no longer play Cherry Grove Music!
  • Subpack options to determine where 'A Familiar Room' plays (On Bedrock Edition).
  • Rebalanced Nether Music so that C418's tracks play more often (especially in the Wastes).
  • Caves and Cliffs music only plays in the caves and on the cliffs!
  • Louder non-biome-specific music to be consistent with the biome-specific music (On Bedrock).
  • One More Day plays on Frozen Peaks on both editions.
What's the difference between Java Style and Bedrock Style?

Prior to 1.16, Bedrock Edition played all its music at 10% - 30% volume, but newer music plays at Java Edition's 40% - 100% volume. The 'Bedrock Style' version of the pack fixes this issue by making newer music quieter, while the 'Java Style' version fixes it by making older music louder. This is the only difference between styles.

Known Issues:
  • Due to limitations, all swamps, regardless of mangrove-ness, play Mangrove Swamp music on Java Edition.
  • Due to limitations, the lengths of the periods of silence has not been changed from vanilla on Java Edition.
  • Due to limitations, using the playsound command to play biome-specific music usually doesn't work on Java Edition.
  • The Title Screen may play an incorrect selection of tracks on versions the game does not read the pack as compatible with. Backports for game versions before multi-version packs will eventually be available.
  • Various problems may occur if using this pack with another music pack. It is suggested that you do not do this.

    2 Update Logs

    v1.3.0 (yeah we're skipping 1.2) : by Cornbread_Alphanumeric 04/06/2024 3:21:03 amApr 6th

    • One More Day now plays on Frozen Peaks like on Bedrock Edition.
    • One More Day now plays in Deserts and Badlands again.
    • C418's music now plays at the correct weight in Lush Caves in game versions pre-1.20.2 again.

    • Completely removed pack overlays, since they only had an effect when using another music pack as well as this one, which you really shouldn't be doing anyway.
    • Reorganized sounds.json.

    • Renamed pack from just "Cornbread's Music Fixer" to "Cornbread's Music Fixer (Java Style)"
    • Changed pack description from "Various QoL music tweaks by Cornbread~." to "Java style music tweaks by Cornbread~." on Java Edition.
    • Pack is now compatible with Bedrock Edition!
    • Bedrock Edition support, unlike Java Edition support, changes the lengths of the periods of silence between music tracks from vanilla. It only doesn't on Java Edition due to limitations.
    • Bedrock Edition support uses music.game in regular Swamps. It only doesn't on Java Edition due to limitations.
    • Bedrock Edition support keeps the playsound command intact. It only doesn't on Java Edition due to limitations. Instead of replacing the tracklists of certain biomes' sound events, the Bedrock Edition support instead simply makes those biomes use music.game.
    • One More Day plays on Frozen Peaks in both editions.
    • Creative Mode tracklist is identical to vanilla in both editions (Java Edition plays Survival Mode music as well while Bedrock doesn't).
    • Bedrock Edition support retains the loud music from Java Edition (that's what makes it "Java Style"). For a version of the pack that has quiet music like on vanilla Bedrock Edition, check out the "Bedrock Style".
    • Bedrock Edition support only works with 1.20.x versions.
