I really love this, but is there any chance you can make a version where the item selection indicator on the bottom toolbar is indicated more clearly? its sometimes really hard to see on my small laptop

Not right now unfortunately, I've never really played much of bedrock myself so tbh I don't know much about bedrock resource packs
