Nostalgia Goggles is a Programmer Art continuation that strives to replicate the crude-yet-charming quality of Minecraft's older textures, while still being usable for vanilla play. It takes full advantage of textures featured in snapshots, pre-release footage, or unused textures from older versions to give an "authentic" feel.
Currently, it only supports content from 1.13-1.16. Stay tuned for future updates ;)
Kelp inspired by a very funny Bedrock Beta texture.
Broke up the clustered highlights of Dried Kelp Into 1 pixel lines.
Heart of the Sea uses a Bedrock Beta texture edited to match the final design.
Nautilus shell uses a Bedrock Beta texture.
Trident gains the checkerboarded stick and the contrasty outlines of other tools.
Turtle Shell reshaded to match other helmets.
Scute matches Turtle Shell.
Turtle Egg reshaded and reshaped to match the Chicken Egg.
Drowned use the Programmer Art Zombie texture as a base. The lower layer of the texture uses gradients to fake a glowing effect (inspired by jack o’ lantern).
Phantoms take inspiration from Endermen and the Programmer Art Skeleton.
Early designs exist for both these mobs, but they barely resemble the final design, so I disregarded them.
Fish entities resemble their pre-1.13 items.
Turtles have been given programmer-style shading.
Credit to blank3times for the fish buckets (which i have edited) and trapdoor textures from his pack Programmer Art DX.

Blocks
Coral Fans are taken directly from a Bedrock Beta. These were used as general guidance for the corals.
All Coral shapes except Bubble and Horn are from the prototype footage shown at Minecraft Earth 2017.
Fire Coral Block uses the shape from the prototype footage. It was used as reference for how the other coral blocks should look.
Seagrasses were animated by creating one static frame and using SpookyGhost to generate the “wave” effect procedurally. A majority of animated textures from Programmer Art were done procedurally (i.e water, lava, fire).
Kelp uses a snapshot texture for the top and a new texture made from scratch for the side.
Dried Kelp Block uses a snapshot texture recoloured to match the final one.
Replaced the directional lighting on Sea Pickles with indistinct noise.
Blue Ice uses the Programmer Art Ice as a base.
