With the release of 1.19, The Wild Update, the mangrove biome and their amphibious inhabitants the frogs were added. While the frogs have their own chunky, and very Minecrafty, style, they don't quite capture the aesthetic of a real life frog, nor do they line up with what some expectations from the biome vote art were. Whether you would prefer a more realistic take on these hoppy critters or are simply looking for a refreshing visual experience, this pack is here to help.



The selection of frogs has been increased for more biome variety. Instead of the original three frogs, there are now twice as many with six biome-based skins. As well, this mob seemed a perfect fit to pay tribute to the wonderful site and community that this project and so many others are spread through. So, if you rename a frog to "Wibbit" it will change its appearance to match that of the Planet Minecraft frog who likes to hop across the header during summertime.

In addition to frogs, the counterpart mob to them in the mangrove swamps are the bees. The bees in Minecraft are large, fluffy, and very chubby, but don't quite deliver the same ambiance in the Minecraft world as they do in the real world. While still bee-ing (hilarious, I know) far larger than real bees, the proportions have been adjusted to make them feel a little more natural.

A more simple Entities 101 entry, but one that we hope you will find immersive and enjoyable.
