5 Update Logs

v4.1.0 : by Cornbread_Alphanumeric 12/13/2025 8:09:21 pmDecember 14, 2025 @ 1:09 am UTC

  • Pack now reads as compatible with game version 1.21.11.
  • Vines are now the correct color in item form in game versions from 1.20.2 to 1.21.3.
৹ Due the way Java Edition's resources are set up, they do not use their Slightly Better Foliage Colors palette when that pack is also applied. I am unsure if this is fixable without mods or a third resource pack.
  • Leaves and small flowers now use the same mipmap strategies as in vanilla in game version 1.21.11.

  • Biome colors that were previously exclusive to the Bedrock Edition release of the pack can now be experienced on Java Edition when using the Polytone mod!
৹ Due to limitations in the Polytone mod, Swamps (and Mangrove Swamps) have had their two grass colors flattened into one color.
  • Birch Leaf particles should no longer be tinted green (Requires Polytone).

My advice (Based off countless research for my own texture pack), you can make easier optifine colormaps. Add optifine > colormap folders in the minecraft folder. then you can make birch.png, pine.png, swampfoliage, and swampgrass.png (Just like on Bedrock). You can even make the leaves look the same color by making their the block texture lighter

history
probably not gonna do that for the birch leaves since the vanilla option works fine enough and is far more accessible than forcing players to download an additional mod that will inevitably break when minecraft updates, but i might look into that for the swamp colors

EDIT 2025-12-13: i've decided to go with polytone.

I mean, a lot of people are already using Optifine by default because of it's performance enhancements and customization (Or they're using Sodium with Colormatic)
