Update 10/20: Optifine compatibility! Future updates/fixes incoming. See update log for full details.

Finally, my brand new custom resource pack is complete, made by a builder for builders! This pack was inspired by the BDoubleO pack, but recoded and retextured from the ground up with new variants, new textures, finishing touches, and general improvements.

This resource pack gives Minecraft a more visually interesting look by adding extra variants to blocks, custom leaf models, and much more! It was designed with my projects in mind, and intends to provide a Vanilla+ medieval experience without the dirty, gritty look of most medieval packs.

If you have have any suggestions, including any textures that I messed up or other packs you'd like to see me make, don't hesitate to let me know. Check out my offshoot of this project which is (almost) entirely grayscale. Also, check out my add-on pack for this resource pack.

Enjoy!

Legacy

Did you like an old version better? You can find all of the old major versions since v1.5.0 in this folder.

Notes

As with all texture packs, do not redistribute this pack in any capacity without my permission (unless you're just sending it to a friend or something, obviously). If you see this pack anywhere besides PMC, please let me know.

Optifine is required for the full function of this pack.

If you plan on using the Better Foliage mod in conjunction with this pack, you must whitelist the following models:

  1. leaves_bushy, all
  2. leaves_bushy1, all
  3. leaves_birch, all
  4. leaves_birch1, all
I plan on updating this pack for new versions of Minecraft.

are the cobblestone walls supposed to not connect to anything in the resource pack? like the wall part has no texture and the "post" of the cobble wall is textured

The leaves seem to be really weird, though I don't know if it's just because I don't have optifine or something.

I've noticed the same. At the moment I don't have a fix for it, but I'll see if I can do some deeper digging to see what's going on.
I absolutely loved this pack during 1.12. I was wondering if you were going to update it for 1.13? Keep up the amazing work!

Soon!
Loved version 1.5, but I recently had to reinstall and now I really miss the old gui, and hate the new cobwebs. it makes exploring mineshafts so weird, why are there flowers everywhere lol.

also, breaking leaves gives me a missing texture particle. pls fix.

I've manually converted the GUI and some of the textures back to their old versions (like the armour), do i have your permission to host this version somewhere?

No, I don’t think that’s enough to warrant it being a separate project. I’ll create a link to download old versions and update that here.
that would be great, thanks man. you're the best.
Will this be updated to 1.13?

Soon, yes! But I have other projects I'm working on currently.
Awesome, but by all means, do your other projects, just wanted to inquire about it :)
Whenever I go into a forest I get 3 fps because of the leaves. I can't figure out how to get rid of the 3d part of the leaves. Can you explain it to me or make another edited pack without the 3d leaves?
Can I just say that the cows are freaking adorable?? https://imgur.com/a/fMGUNsa https://imgur.com/a/NwWMRxu I like the little tan one!
I love this I'm using this for my survival world but I noticed not everything is textured? Only the iron tools/weapons are textured, the fences, the wool/carpet are all untextured. I was wondering if you planned on adding these in or if I should do it myself? Same with wheat and mutton, I'm assuming potatoes and stuff. The mutton might have a bit of a texture I can't really tell, I see that the bread has a bit of a texture. I'm only asking because it says 100% complete.
One more thing is that it's kind of difficult to tell the difference between something enchanted and something not. Could you make it a little more obvious?

I love this pack got to be my fav out the 100s I have used over the years. I really hope you keep it up to date. One problem is the armor. I dont like how it looks like it a welders mask and its almost the same as the one from sphax pure BD craft Rpack.
I really liked it but cant get it because I cant get optifine. I tried many times but it wont work :(

Why's that? Are you sure you installed it properly?
Not sure. I clicked the right version of minecraft and I downloaded it I think but it doesn't show up in my downloads or anywhere else.. it said something about Java, so my friend tried to download that for me, but it also didn't work and I couldn't open it.

After you download the .jar file, double click it. You should get a popup, just click "Install". Then it'll install a new Profile to your Minecraft launcher. You should be able to run it from there, or you can just make a new profile with a Optifine version as your version.
awesome texturing, good job
Someone else has asked this, but can you make a version without the 3d leaves? I'm using the mod "BiomesOPlenty", which has custom trees and the 3d things are added onto the new trees, but they're missing a texture, so all I see when i walk around is black and pink.

The only reason it is incompatible with BOP is because of how I named the files. Would you prefer I create a special non-3D version or just rename the files so it’s compatible?
If you can just rename the files, or even just tell me what to rename, that would be perfectly fine. I quite like the custom leaves anyway!

You'd have to do some recoding. I'll look into that to see if that's an issue with how it's coded, or if it's on your end.

Edit: I'm not experiencing this. Could you PM me some screenshots?

Admittedly it was like that in the beginning, but now that I've found my footing almost none of the blocks are identical, and very few are even that similar (besides, of course, the ones that remain default).

Idk what the issue is, but after downloading the pack, only half of the blocks are converting to the pack. I only have one visual resource pack, and it's this one. I really enjoy this pack, and I'm hoping that you have a fix. thanks!

This pack is absolutely brilliant, I am extremely picky when it comes to texture packs but can find literally nothing to dislike about this one, fantastic!

I just recently started playing on a German medieval server and was looking for a good medieval pack to use there. I hate how most medieval texture packs have faded colours and look really dull, this is a very refreshing break from the trend. Super excited to see what else is in store for this pack, danke vielmals Alter!

What's the map files for? Obviously you want us to see them or else you wouldn't have put them in a file. Is there a clue you can give, or a hint in the texture pack files themselves? I can't just use brute force on the zip cause you said you have letters and numbers which could take forever.

To be honest, I only put them in there so that I could have something in there at all. What use is a "secret" zip folder with nothing at all?

So you just put them there to piss the curious people off. Very nice lol. Do the maps actually contain anything or they just random generated worlds. and whats with the Welcome.txt

The maps are two of my creative worlds and one adventure map that I'd been working on but never finished. The txt file just explains that.

The way password protection works is that it prevents you from extracting any of the files unless you know the password aka you can't move/open any of the files inside without the password for the zip file as a whole

So far, I like the pack. I love the fact that you have something very similar to BDubs, which is what I have been looking for.
My only problem that I can see right now is that the texture of End Stone is very bright, making some of my builds look kinda bad. Other than that it all looks great.

Thanks! I'll see what I can do about it. In Vanilla, End Stone is just inverted blue cobblestone, which I did to make my End Stone variations. I'll tinker around with it and update if I like the changes.

I think it looks much better now. It was just a little too bright before. I was using Bdubs pack until I realized he wasn't doing YT vids anymore meaning he wasn't going to keep up the pack at least for now. Thank you for listening to feedback and responding so quickly!
