Texture Packs: Misleading Information + How To Solve It

Part 1: Introduction

A common theme that I've been seeing recently is users spamming as many tags and unrelated things as possible in order to get stats on their account.

Example: spamming tags like this.

This image was from a PvP pack claiming to Increase your FPS and Improve your Clicks Per Second (CPS). Not only are they spamming tags, they're misleading people to download their pack, while in reality, improving your CPS and FPS like they claim to would require an external program.

------

Part 2: The Cycle

When these sort of stat-boosting activities occur, people start noticing the pack more, and downloading it. Eventually, friends might tell other friends about the pack, or it may get on the popreel. When that happens, more people notice the pack again. And they think to themselves "Wait, so if I make clickbaity thumbnails and spam tags a lot, I can get popular too??" And then they do on their own packs. Eventually (right now) most "PvP" tagged texture packs have spam that looks almost exactly like this spam above, and then the cycle repeats itself.

------

Part 3: Solution

I think that the best solution for this problem would be limiting the amount of tags a user could add to any texture pack, especially those with keywords like "FPS", "CPS", "Hypixel", "PvP", etc to somrwhere around 5, to keep things fair and useable for the users that don't spam tags, as most that do will usually go way above 10, and most people who don't would go to do about 4, maximum. This would mostly effectively limit the amount of spamming and boosting that can occur during the upload process, with minimal human involvement.

As well, putting a small reminder on the side of the page for all texture packs saying something along the lines of "Notice: Some texturepacks can be misleading! If a pack is claiming to increase Frames Per Second (FPS), Clicks Per Second (CPS) or similar, it is not true. Texture packs can only increase FPS by a few frames or just remove most of them, as Minecraft still has to load the default textures under the pack," to alert users to these sorts of misleading claims, and why you shouldn't trust them

Now, if you're going to accept this ticket, I reccomend you to make this ticket private afterwards, so that users cannot as easily bypass the tag limiting system.

------

Tl;dr: Lately, users have been promoting and putting stat boosting into practice on many PvP related texturepacks. Usually, this somewhat encourages users to abuse the tags system for stats and recognition. To fix it, I suggest making a system where tags with certain keywords like "FPS", "CPS", etc get limited to 5 tags with the individual keywords. As well, if you're going to accept this, I recommend making this ticket private, to help stop users from bypassing the filter system.
