Skin Combinations

So, I made this skin for a Jam (Embers of the Forge), and it’s supposed to be my normal skin but armored. I wanted to use the skin a person on PMC had made for me, but the Jam rules don’t allow editing or altering skins by other people even with their consent. So, I’m making a separate skin with the same armor design but the actual body is instead the body of the skin the creator had made for me.

The problem is, it’s going to be so tedious copying every pixel, even if it’s only three colors. So, my idea is that PMC adds a feature that lets you combine the body of one skin and the second layer of another, and then you can edit from there. How this would work is like this:
- Select “File” in PMCSkin3D
- There is a button that would say “Merge skins.” Click it. The usual, “Do you want to save your current skin” pop-up will appear.
- After that, a pop-up appears asking for files to the skins you want for each layer of the skin (it’ll make sense in the example table)
- Once done, hit “Merge” and a merged skin with the body of one skin and the layering of another will appear in PMCSkin3D.

Table example of the pop-up for merging skins:

The site would then combine the body of the skin in the left column and the layer of the one in the right.

  Have something to say?

Super idea ! I had (and still have) quite a desire for such a feature...
