yes, my point was just something that could create a pack.mcmeta file as MacBooks cannot create this file. That puts anyone on a Mac at a disadvantage. I’ve tried to make resource packs in the past on Mac, it is almost impossible. Mac does not allow you to edit the description of a file in a notepad, nor use any of the specific file types like windows does.
i was merely suggesting that pmc make something that allows you to either edit textures and then package them into a resource pack, or just something that packages premade textures into the pack type.

PMC texture pack tool
making texture packs is a pain, all of you know this. It’s terrible to have to get an image editor, open your files, fool around with settings and file types, and notepad++. I think if there was a way for PMC to make something like PMCskin3D, but for texture packs, it would be really awesome. I myself struggle with texture pack making as I have an old MacBook that doesn’t meet any requirements to make a texture pack.
I’m thinking something that goes like this: go into texture pack editor. Have a drop down menu like PMCskin3D, but it shows all the different texture files from the game. You can select one and edit it, (this would be 2d because blockbench exists). You can save it as a file OR as a texture pack (name it, edit description, etc etc). You can select multiple textures and add them to the texture pack file.
It would definitely be a huge help if this ever was a tool on PMC
