The pmcskin maker currently has the colors darker than they really are in game. It causes the minecraft skins to look wierd as you don't know how dark or light the color is. It should be updated to show accurate color and not the darker shade so skins can be made and colored more accurately.

NOTE: the skin creator is very buggy on cell phones
