I've been using PMCSkin3D for years now after transitioning from Novaskin Editor, but one thing that still "annoys" me is that I need to go on my browser, go to pmc and then select the online editor.

So what do I suggest?
I suggest making/updating the skin editor to be downloable again, as I know that there used to be a downloadable version previously available, although slightly less complete, by another name, before it got turned into the editor we have today.

Why make it offline though?
I myself only use my browsers for youtube (which should have a dedicated client in my opinion) and the occasional trivia search, I also have had previous issues with internet connection and/or browser issues before, and for people like myself this would be a great thing to have. As well as an option for when I'm away from home.
Another point is relating to timezones and maintenance times, I don't know exactly when it happens, but more than once I've tried opening PMC after midnight to find it down for maintenence, and again an offline version of the editor would resolve this issue for myself and any others in the same situation.

Alternatives Exist...
Now I know there are other editors and people can even use blockbench but none feel as good and familiar as PMC's editor for myself and some others, with alternatives feeling sometimes cluttered or messy.

Regarding Revenue...
As for the problem of ad revenue, I understand an offline version wouldn't generate any of it, but you could even make it paid, or free with an option for payment like paint.net for example.

What about the features that require a connection like "Get Skin from MC username" and "Publish"?
These from what I know of coding should be easily disabled, if necessary, with maybe an option to re-add them at one's will with a plugin for them exclusively. But I don't believe they would be that important for an offline version of the software.

Maintenance issues...
Finally to touch on the matter of updates, just giving us the option to have the most recent version as of writting this ticket would suffice, it's already a complete software from what it seems, and I myself don't see any need for updating (again as of writing this).


P.s.: I write this with only hope that this is possible and not a massive undertaking, as I know already that PMC is already doing it's best as it is, and supporting the creation or porting of their editor software may be something that would take resources away from more needed issues or features.
