Right now as collaborating sits there's not much too it except for the "add additional credit box" which nobody will ever see when making a mod and isn't very good for collating too. The system I suggest putting in place is a system which allows you to add other accounts to a new created by box which will allows to add other peoples names. This will then split xp between you and the collaborator when you get a diamond or something.
