Back in my hay days of PMC, I saw notifications as a rare beauty to behold. It always gave me a good dopamine boost to know that I got onto the Pop Reel, leveled up, or saw that I've won or lost a contest. But nowadays, I keep getting upwards of at least (or sometimes 2 or) 3+ notifications relating to something I don't care about, like polls closing (I vote on a lot of polls so I could care less), contests starting up (Well, no crap that said contest is happening. I've voted on it), or someone giving an emerald on my reply/comment from a skin/blog. What's worse is that there's no options to turn these off, and I'm stuck seeing them every day as the joy of notifications start to diminish their value into a chore. But really, this is all my opinion. Some people like having 100+ notifications every day, but personally, I don't. Giving us more options for us to choose to turn off can make notifications great again and allow those who don't care for some of the unswitchable ones to stay sane.
