That's right you two, you guys fix your tanks. However, I don't think that this audience is here for that! Let's build a tank! Something cool like an Abrams, Tiger or T-54!
Vehicle Choice

This may be the simplest part, unless you're those two up there :D
When you build tanks, you have to keep track of their combat service and places they were used. In other words, research some things before you make Tiger IIs in the German invasion of Poland. For this tutorial, I'll make a German Panther.
Basic Design/Layout

I start with the tracks first, because track layout allows you to see how wide your vehicle will be and wether or not it should be changed. Here's the track layout I chose for the Panther below.

Base of the Vehicle

The base refers to the interior room for players (if you want that). While we're here I'll also start that build up of the side. Here's what I did.

Hull Design

The rest of the Panthers hull will take this basic shape, I used stairs to replicate the sloped armor the Panthers have. As shown below.

Finishing the Hull

Gees Doof... Anyway! The rest of the hull is simple enough. I added in the rest of the stairs for the armor plus I used buttons and trap doors on the tracks for extra detail. Notice I also added in the machine gun using a dispenser, as shown below. Also, notice the trap doors on top for rear fans and front hatches. The Empty Space is where the Turret will go.

I won't forget about the back like Doof probably would! Here I used ladders to represent the exhaust pipes on the Panthers.

The Turret

Doof is annoying... I need to get back on subject 0_0 In the final product, I put in what powers I have and some black magic to make a magical turret appear! As you can see below, it does look like a sexy Panther!

The Final Steps

Lastly, before you can celebrate, there is the interior to do. I'd use levers for the clutches the driver uses and some fancy combination for the engine. Now we can celebrate! We made a tank!
Additional Notes
This blog was made by request from a certain annoying relative 0_0
The texture pack used in this tutorial is my WWII Texture pack.
Not sure if this was of any help to you guys, but have it anyway! Because... Well It's Doof Approved!
Happy Trails!
