Hello guys! Today I am going to teach you how to make a basic Mario Maker course!(That means without having unlocked anything past the Main Menu)

Step 1: Choose Classic or 3D style.

3D style just means the enemies, objects, and Maario are 3D models instead of pixel art/drawings.

Major differences:

3D: Wall jumping, as in any version below it, you cannot wall jump,3D models

2D: Bowser much shorter,You fall in a hole without the possibility of getting back unless there's a spring, 2D Pixelart

Step 2: Above or Under ground?

Nothing changes much between these two except scenery and the colour of the ground.

Step 3: Make your base!

Time to start making for real! Choose a block, and cover up the bottom of the screen to make your ground!(Basically connect the flag pole area with the start area, they are 2 blocks high so fill the area between that in.)

Step 4: The start of the course

So now that you have your ground, decide how you want to start off your course. With your limited course building materials, a great way to troll people is to put the usual bricks surrounding a question mark block, and put a giant Koopa in there.(To make one, place a Koopa outside of the block first, then drag a mushroom onto it). You could also make some parkour, which is easily made by either placing some small platforms and either distancing them quite a nice bit or making holes in the ground.

If not using the 3D(New Super Mario Bros U) and instead the xlassix/retro 2D style, then you can make a hole every other block.(What I mean is, Make a 1 block wide, 2 long hole at the start, then skip a block and make another hole, and so on until you feel that's enough parkour.) Now, either give some power-ups or place some Goombas or whatever to try and trip players up.

Step 5: The Middle

Ok ok, I know that's the title of a TV show, but you know what I'm talking about.:)
So now you must decide what to do next. More parkour? More enemies? More troll blocks? It's up to you to decide what to do for the middle of your course. If you want, you can spam a lot of mega enemies here, and some more parkour.

Step 6: The Grand Finale

This is it, the finale of your course! This is where you either go crazy with ith enemies and trolls, or just make a few simple jumps to the flag!

Step 7: Test in edit mode.

To do this, tap the little S at the bottom of your gamepad screen to teleport to the start, then click play and try to get to the end of the course. If you find something impossible to do, take starboard a step back to make it easier.

Final step: Save, Clear Test and Upload!

So, if you completed your course in Edit mode, tap the little robot icon, click "New Save", and name the course. Now, if you want to upload it, you must tap the little robot icon again, click Upload. Now it will tell you to clear the course. "But I just did...." Yeah you did, but you need to clear it again since its saved, and a clear in Edit mode does not count, as you can just stop yourself from dying in Edit. Once you've cleared it, it will ask you for a final name for the course. Click OK once you have named it, and it will upload the course to Course World! Once uploaded, it qill show you the course ID you can share with people. Congratulations, your first course is done!*

(Note to upload a course, you must have a Nintendo Network ID and have launched Miiverse at least once.)

Hope you guys enjoyed the tutorial and that it gave you some ideas!

Leave your Course IDs in the comments! I mean any course!

You can make a blog about any games on this site. Not everything needs to be MC related.
And also, people post blogs about other things that have no relation to Minecraft, and they are allowed:)
