Hello, and welcome to my interview with autumn (formerly known as witchshroom)! ♥ She's a talented and well-known skin creator who is quite active in the PMC community. :) I hope you enjoy our interview! x
My questions are in brown; her answers are in orange. x
1. What inspired you to start making Minecraft skins?
1. i started playing minecraft about two years ago and really liked the customization of the whole game! so i decided to try make my own skin, i downloaded skinseed and made my very first skin. since then it’s been something i've really enjoyed!
2. How did you discover PMC? What is one of your favourite memories of the site?
2. i discovered pmc by watching youtube. i used to watch a lot of videos about texture packs and tried to get some myself on pmc! that’s were i decided it would be fun to create and account and start making some stuff! :D i don’t really have a favorite memory but i can say that it has been really fun so far!! i’ve really enjoyed it! >:D
3. Do you have a persona? If so, what inspired you to create them?
3. yes i do! here she is! i saw this dress and thought it looked really cute so i just tweaked it a little and added a beret! she has gone through quite a lot of changes such as she is now wearing converses instead of mary janes. i’m not sure she really suits me any more but i still love her.
4. Do you have a favourite submission that you've made? Your favourite that someone else has made?
4. i don’t really have a favorite submission that i’ve made. i always see the flaws in my skins and never the pretty parts :’) but i do have a lot of favorite submissions that others have made! you can see most of them in this collection i made! <3
5. Who would you say has influenced or inspired you the most on PMC?
5. omg ok so there is a lot of very inspiring people on this site. the ones that have inspired me time and time again are crayne, Jasmine_, iantisocial, gumoholic, 00O3, whiimsical, and siix! <3 i love all their work aaaa
6. What other hobbies do you enjoy outside of PMC? Is there anything you've never done before, but would especially like to try doing in the future?
6. ok, so i love to draw a LOT! i will draw for like hours in a day. i also love anything creative really!! i also plays lots of video games such as stardew valley and minecraft! in the future i would really like to maybe learn to play the piano. pretty much just so that i can play golden hour x3
7. What is your favourite event you’ve participated in here on PMC (official or community-held)?
7. i have only been on the site for a year so i haven’t participated in much but i really enjoyed skintober and fanvember!!
8. What would you consider your greatest accomplishment here on PMC? In real life?
8. hmm i think my biggest accomplishment would be getting 700+ subscribers in one year. i don’t think it’s a very common thing to happen and i’m so grateful for all the love and support. <3 in real life i can’t really think of anything..maybe it would be that in scouts (i’m a scout), i have gotten three merit awards which again is not common :)
9. What advice would you give to a new PMC member?
9. i would say don’t worry about the subscribers. remember it’s just for fun! and don’t compare your works to others, just practice, practice, practice! ignore all hate, people will hate on your content and it’s not nice but there’s not much you can do about it. just keep on being yourself and don’t listen to them. <3
10. What is one cause that you especially believe in? Would you like to say anything about it to the community?
10. everyone should be treated with the same respect and love. no matter the race, gender, sexuality, religion, or personality. everyone deserves love no matter who they are or what they’ve done. <3
11. Do you have a current goal for your content?
11. i'd really like to get to one thousand subscribers and improve and lot. i feel like my skinning style doesn’t suit me and i’d like to find one that does.
12. How would you describe yourself in three words?
12. creative, observant, and silly! :p
