Hello, and welcome to my interview with Moon! They are a wonderful skin creator, and one of the first to experiment with the blocky aesthetic shading style. :) I hope you enjoy our interview!
My questions are in dark pink; hers are in pastel pink.
1. What inspired you to start making Minecraft skins?
1. A childhood friend enjoyed it, grabbed my attention. I couldn’t play at the time but I enjoyed making skins. 8 years now?! Eowow
2. Do you have a persona? If so, what inspired you to create them?
2. That would be really nice!! I haven’t yet found a persona I could proudly call mine. Maybe eventually, soon?
3. What is your favourite skin that you've made?
3. Definitely Holy Peach. It’s always been that way. I consider her one of my kiddos in the family of submissions.
4. What are your hobbies IRL?
4. Plenty, I feel hobbies have a great importance and impact on a person. I like to make amigurumi, pixels, and finally decoden !! BUT when I’m feeling lazy I resort to games. ^^
5. Do you have a favourite aesthetic (soft/cute, gothic, e-girl, etc.)? If so, what is it that you like about that aesthetic?
5. Aaaaaa. Pastel Sanrio aesthetic has me by heart, but I favour a gothic aesthetic to balance and complement the other.
6. Do you have an inspiration (either for making skins or in real life)? If so, what do you like about them?
6. Not currently, but I admire many different pieces.
7. What is your favourite movie/TV series/anime? Do you have favourite characters from it/them?
7. Oh my. It’s hard to recollect!! Shiki for anime, although I love so many characters individually from different series but felt the series itself had more potential.
8. What advice would you give to a new Minecraft skin creator?
8. That’s a hard one!! I’d say if you have enough interest, to study basic fundamentals of art. Some include values, perspective, color theory, and understanding composition. Its the tools to help you have control and create your own style. I’m still working on this myself and have a long way, but stay motivated!! Every piece you create teaches you something new, and helps you gather an understanding to overcome your blockages.
9. Do you have a current goal for Minecraft skinning? If so, what is it?
9. CONSISTENCY. Many aspects.
10. How would you describe yourself in three words?
10. I asked myself but had no answer, I apologize ^^
