My name is IGEBM. I'm writing this one day before my one-year anniversary on this site. I'd suggest getting some food and something to drink, because I'm about to recount my entire time on this site.

I joined this site on February 8th, 2022 because I wanted to make a Minecraft iron golem skin to visualize what it would look like in this story I was writing. Then, I figured I should share this skin with the site, so I made an account with the same name as my MC username. I slowly began to set up my page, finding a profile picture in the form of the Scorponok insignia from War for Cybertron: Earthrise, a show I absolutely loved. Then, one day, I decided to make myself a skin for Minecraft, since I was tired of looking like a crocodile. So, I made the Gray Hoodie Gamer skin, which is now known simply as "IGEBM." I have a whole history of that skin (which is a work-in-progress at the time of writing this) right here.

I continued to make numerous variations of the IGEBM skin, and then Spring Break came, and me and my mom went on a 5-day trip to San Juan to stay at a resort. On the plane ride, WiFi was lost on my computer since I hadn't connected it to any WiFi on the plane because I didn't use it on the flight, but a day into the trip, I opened PMC to find that I was logged out of my account. I panicked since I hadn't brought the Post-It with my login information on it since I didn't think it would log me out when my computer lost WiFi. Luckily, on March 23rd, I found the Post-It in one of the drawers of my desk and I was able to log back in and make and post the skin I had wanted to create when we were in Puerto Rico.

Even though I logged back into my account, I wasn't very active. (As evident by these two forum threads, linked here and here.) I continued to make skins, and was subscribed to a few people, and few people were subscribed to me. Two of the first people I ever subscribed to, and who I remember distinctly, are Minecrafter2022 and Angelonasher. I also didn't talk to members much, mainly because I had no idea the Chat existed and I could never figure out how to make a wall post until mid-October.

One time I remember distinctly when I got back into the site was when I logged on on July 1st (2022) and made a Technoblade variant of my new skin, after watching "So long nerds" the night before. I was devastated after hearing the news of his death, and I remember myself the next day on my computer, looking up color palettes for the Technoblade skin to recreate it as best I could with help from reference skins. (I didn't know about the whole "Get Skin From MC Username" feature in PMCSkin3D.) I also made a forum thread about it.

I wasn't active much until August, when I began to work on some mob skins, but I gave up on a lot of projects, such as revamps of the new 1.19 mobs and a warden skin of the Shredder that I wanted to make after finishing Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Then, September came, and I got back into PMC again. (Also, fun fact, every forum thread I made between me joining this site and August can currently be found on page 5 of my forum threads. That's a huge contrast to now, when about a month's worth of threads can be found on a page.)

In September, I had started a multiplayer world in Minecraft called Hell's Island, which I played on with friends. My main inspiration was the Dream SMP and the a little bit of the Lifesteal and Echocraft SMPs as well. I realized I needed to revamp my skin for this, so I made two skins. I found a suit overlay and made Suit IGEBM, then edited that and posted a new version as Hell's Island IGEBM, meant to be the king of Hell's Island, even though on the world the only government we had was a council consisting of me and my friends (who I haven't seen since October) Antfrostl0l and Drome2002.

And then, along came October, which I like to call, “The Month I Got Back Into PMC.” It all started when I discovered this contest by LogMaiden called Houses of Halloween, and it's what motivated me to make more skins. I also figured out how to do wall posts, and I began to meet new people like LogMaiden, TheCrypteral, ShadowOnTheLoose, Trotelot, GracieMockingjay, and Guts N Pixels (who, at the time of discovering him, went by CrypticMorbid). I also got a new persona skin made by Pacifity, which, at the time, was just for October, because I didn't really like my Halloween skin, but I ended up liking the skin so much that I still use it to this day. I also joined my first two groups in that month, the PMC D&D Campaign (at the time run by Rakkitatoru) and a newly-created group known as The Forge (in that order). The 24th was also the day I got my first original profile picture, an drawing of my plush T-rex, Grimlock, made by Papa Enny.

November went by quickly. I didn't participate in Fanvember, but my subscriber count began to grow, and by December, I was at 50 subscribers. A few days into January, I reached 100. The only big thing for me that happened in November was that I made myself a (psychotic) alt, DarkGEBM666.

In December, I also started a roleplay that stemmed from a simple poll of Coke or Pepsi, known as the PMC Soda Wars. It was through this event that I met two amazing people, OrderOutOfChaos and TheMcParrot, who now help me run my group, which was born out of the roleplay, along with TacoFromTheSky and 2000sindie. I also hosted my first Jam that month, called Into the Iron Maiden, and I continue to host Jams. (In fact, I have one that starts tomorrow/today [​since this is posting on the 8th].)

To this day, I continue to have awesome experiences on this site. I've made plenty of friends, posted amazing content, and I continue to grow in subscribers and am currently at 133.

However, it's not about the subscribers. It's about having fun. PMC isn't just a site for Minecraft fans, it's a community, and a place to make new friends, show people your skills, share things about your life, and so much more. That's why I want to thank Cyprezz and Paril for making this site. It's the only place where I've found people who have similar interests as me that I'm too scared to really talk about at school, and it's the only place where I've felt confident and safe enough to share important things about my personal life. In short, I love PMC.
