I believe Minecraft life would be way better with multi-cultural cuisine. Minecraft needs more variety of multi-cultural foods and items. Minecraft is used around the world, so lets help include the various cultures it serves. Japanese, Mexican, Indian food and more, are something that not just us humans should enjoy, but our avatars as well!
It should be added because...
There are materials in the game that aren't used as much as others. Some of those materials can be used to craft some famous Japanese cuisine.
For instance, take a piece of pork, add it to a bowl and voila, you've got yourself an amazing bowl of homemade Katsudon!
We can even make Mitarashi Kushi Dango; a traditional Japanese sweet!
You simply need the listed crafting materials.
1. Water bucket
2. Some Sugar
3. A Stick
Put these three materials together in a line on the crafting table and you'll get some delicious Mitarashi Kushi Dango!
In the sushi section, you would need Seaweed and Rice. Those would be added to the game as well. If you put a fish on the rice and seaweed you'd have your very own sushi roll!
Now for a popular Indian dish, Chicken Tikka Masala! This dish is usually always on the menu at Indian restaurants. In fact, this dish is one of my favorite foods ^^
To craft chicken tikka masala, you would put Water, wheat seeds, milk, and chicken onto your crafting table.
Time for an amazing Mexican dessert! the Churro! People wait hours at fairs just to get their hands on one of these, but now you can be the first in line! Use the following materials to make your delicious snack!
1. Water
2. Milk
3. Cinnamon (An added material)
4. Sugar
(The picture is making me hungry...)
To make a burrito you might use chicken, cheese, rice, and wheat seeds for the delicious greens!
You would be able to change the chicken to beef for a different choice of flavor ^^
New materials and how you'd find them
Here you will find where and how to find some new lovely ingredients for our delicious multi-cultural foods.
You can find rice growing in a village, in the wild, or in your creative slots. Like most other plants, you can plant rice seeds to grow more rice. Cheese can be crafted or found in your creative inventory slots. To craft cheese, you'd display your milk in a crafting table, which doesn't matter where you put it on the board, and some cheese should appear in your outcome area. To make cinnamon, you can find it growing in the wild. When you find some, harvest it and use the cinnamon sticks to craft our lovely churro!
We need something to wrap our sushi! What about seaweed? Seaweed would be the first plant to grow Underwater
(Now that's cool) You could plant your sugar cane and have some seaweed growing right next to it!
Why isn't the food we have good enough?
The food we have must have more diversity. There are literally NO multi-cultural foods in the game. Plus, I think it would be fun to run around our blocky world, catching fish to make sushi, grabbing some new materials to slap down on our crafting tables, or even making our own restaurant!
Will there be more food options than this?
Indeed. There would be a drink selection as well. Definitely some Sake, Green tea, Ramune, Hot chocolate, Mango Lassi, And More!
For instance, you could maybe get boosts from drinking Ramune or Hot chocolate. Since it has sugar, It would give you swiftness to represent the energy you drank.
Back to the food department. They're would be way more than just the foods listed. After all, those were just examples of popular foods.

You say Minecraft needs more diversity in food (its a survival game, it doesnt have meals to begin with), but you ONLY mention Japanese food. No only do you want a completely pointless feature because of "diversity" but your idea isnt even diverse.
Dont worry, Im being critical of all the submissions. Seriously though, additional food is such a pointless and arbitrary addition.
