This topic is very concerning and I'm scared for Minecraft's future. This quote comes from the player JediJerboa, who clearly states the superhuman powers of the player:
Superpowers
Actually, there are many ways in which the player is superhuman. The player does not feel temperature, can live without sleeping, fall great heights and survive, and can punch parts out of trees with their bare fists and take no damage.
Interesting, isn't it? This hadn't come to mind recently, but now that it does it seems rather strange? You can jump from a large mountain with a few hearts remaining. Oh yeah, there's another thing. You have 10 hearts! 10! Can you imagine that in reality? Of course, you can't; it's not possible whatsoever. Not unless you're mutated, anyway. All I'm trying to get at here is the fact that the majority of these are theoretically impossible to achieve.
The logic:
// Let's go fix these and supply some possible solutions to add semi-realism to the game. Firstly, let's look at the strength. By the way, thanks Jedi for doing the maths for me :). So, the player can carry a total of 44236 tonnes of gold with no slowdown. That is equal to carrying 29,000 average cars on your back. Good luck with doing that. So, therefore your character possesses superhuman strength which also leads to the next fact. The fact the player can punch down trees with ease. I don't need to go any further with strength, I think what I have said speaks enough.
// There are many biomes in the world of Minecraft, yet it seems the player can withstand the harsh winds and snow of the snow biomes and the scorching rays of the sun in the desert. It should make sense if;
~When in the cold, snowy biomes, you're required to make a woollen cloak and hood out of sheep wool (duh).
~You're required to drink water in order to keep yourself from dehydrating.
The other biomes may have weaker effects, but with more or less the same impact.
// And as for sleeping, correct me if I'm wrong, but the longest time a man has stayed awake is 264.4 hours, which is 11 days and 24 minutes. Maybe if you gain a slowness, blindness or weakness effect when getting tired then it would make more sense.
And yet, there are still many things that make no sense in Minecraft.

Have something to say?
Article: Hello der
Also, can we talk about how if you put something in a furnace right before night, then sleep, then go back to the furnace, it hasn't smelted yet! Can one iron ore not smelt in 12 hours?! You don't have to make an entire article about this (unless you want to), just thought about it.
