Over the years there has been a few additions to minecraft that were either once a mod or part of oe. I believe the lighting system was based on a mod. The most recent update, 1.10, added polar bears. While I'm not sure if I'm right about this, it is possible that they were inspired by the More Creatures mod. Whether it was or not, my point is mods can be the source of inspiration behind minecraft mechanics and features. So I'm going to name off a few good ones that I think could add to the minecraft experience.

First off is galacticraft. Galacticraft is a mod that allows you to build a rocket and travel to the moon, Mars and some other planets and you can even build a orbiting space station equipped with oxygen generation!

Second is tinkers construct. Tinkers construct is a mod that adds tons of customizable tools and weapons. It has some of its own mobs and even a floating Island made of slime!

Third is twilight forest. (It has nothing to do with vampires) Twilight forest is a mod that adds another dimension which is basically a massive forest. But that is not all, there are riches to be had here, but where there's riches there is also danger. There are dungeons that are absolutely massive and there are many new bosses added into these dungeons!

Fourth is a mod that is like a sister mod to tinkers construct, Natura. Natura adds lots of...umm...nature. it adds lots of berry bushes and trees to the overworld and even the nether, you could make a berry medley or a nether...actually just don't eat nether berries :P. Speaking of the nether, Natura adds lots of flora and fauna to even this hell scape. You might even meet a new mob if your lucky/unlucky!

Fifth and final on my list is a very simple mod, Inventory Tweaks. Inventory tweaks is a mod that tweaks your inventory (duhh). With the click of a button you can sort your inventory or chest alphabetically. No more messy chests! It has a lot of other uses too but honestly, in my opinion that's the most important one because those chests have messed with our OCD long enough!


These were just some of my favorites and even if only some of the features from these mods were implemented into minecraft I think that would be awesome.
