I am creating a YouTube channel for map creators to post their trailers and tutorials. I just posted our first tutorial: the first steps of creating a puzzle map.
Key Points:
-make a test world
-make miniature layouts of you puzzles
-create levels that introduce mechanics one at a time so the player can master them in a safe/simple place
-setup your mechanics to make sure they work
-create a test area for your visual aesthetics and mechanics
-distinguish key features visually without making it uninteresting
-build a more professional build of that area in a new world (make sure to change anything that you saw didn't work)
