Was bored, thinking about cool things that could be added to minecraft:
Knights: villagers that stay in the village and fight (much like iron golem) but you can pay them something (much like a villager shop) and they will follow you like a wolf and fight for you.
If you drop a sword/armor in front of them they will pick it up and equip it
Knights of a villager begin attacking you if you attack villagers
Increase Difficulty to tech up: e.g. stone tools must use smelted stone, anything that makes it harder to get diamonds within the first hour or so
Mob Attraction Points: Add a block for gamemodes so you can have all hostile mobs loaded in a map actively try to go towards it (e.g. Defend the castle maps). Mobs will try to destroy that block (which can signal a loss)
Throw-able Fire Charges: so you can throw them like a snowball and they set the block on fire...
Engineer Zombies: zombies that can bridge over using blocks (if they see you)
Light Arrows: arrows that, when they land, light up a small area around them (also works if the arrow is on fire)
Sunlight Torches: torches that emit sunlight (burns mobs).
Dual Wielding: Allowing players to dual wield certain things at a cost (e.g. dual swords giving extra damage for slower walk speed or dual picks/axes/shovels giving mini-fortune/efficiency for hunger) and nerfing enchantments (increasing costs)
Fly Boots: not quite flying, but slows your decent (useful in tnt cannons to shoot you further, does not reduce fall damage)
Grenades: ok, splash potions are kinda like that but explosives. come on.
