Hi I'm a server owner and I just want to clarify...the server owners spent their time and PAID for the server, and it's the players' decision to join the server. If you don't like it, then don't go there. But there are great owners!

I know a server owner who is not like that. He is TheBeast808 owner of c.beastsmc.com. but i do agree that some owners are like that

When children run Minecraft servers, you get childish behavior. Unfortunately some older owners....and admins seem to think that bullying players is funny as well. But fortunately most of these servers are short lived.

To run an MC server you have to have at least a little understanding of business because running a server is just like running a business, even when you aren't in it for the money. Players are your customers and as any business owner knows, you treat your customers right. Treat them right and they will return. If there are problems with with either players or staff, it needs to be handled professionally and an appropriate solution found. Owners or staff should not be so quick to kick or ban a player, since sometimes that player has a problem understanding the rules or if they are creating a problem, they will often stop when warned.

Owning a server... at least one that is going to succeed, requires maturity (no matter the actual age) as well as patience. Without these qualities, you get what Nexutron and some of the others are talking about.

I don't know on which servers you play but I rarely seen any of these. Besides even if it happens is this the most childish and harmless way of "abuse". What I do have experienced thou, is a whole new level of owner abuse compere to what you've told. For example. Spending their server only donating money on personal commodities, and then buy a used server while saying they've bought a new one. Take advantage of builders and their skills, giving them fly and a few rights, but once they've done their job they demote them for no reasons, even thou they said that the op or just fly would be a permanent thing. Change rules so that they can ban a town owner so that they can give that town to someone of their "own" people etc. I mean I know a server where their owners did all of what I've mentioned above, and I was very close to the server staff which told us what those owners are doing. That was some REAL owner abuse in it's full sense, and I hardly told a half of the story.
