Introduction
You may be wondering: "Stickdude, what r u doin? Stickdude....STAAHHHP", and that is normal, I just wanna try something new, and if you don't like it, then Deal with it. Anyways, Without further ado, My review on the terraincontrol mod/plugin!
Basics
The idea of this mod is to give the player FULL control over how their world generates, you get to make your own biomes, mchange the sky color, edit foliage and grass color, and you get to even make the terrain as hectic as possible! You can even make your own generated buildings! You basically have almost full control over biomes, color, and generation.
Details
So when installed, you have the new option in the list of generation types called "terraincontrol", when you create the new world a new files in the terraincontrol mods folder is created, detailing all the terrain generation, ready for you to edit. But theres a very important thing though, every you are done editing the configuration files, goto your world folder, and delete the regions folder, that way it can generate with your proper tweaks, now you are ready, you can edit the biomes files to really get into the nitty gritty. I can't really explain how in the whole blog post, but, there are many tutorials available that involve tons of tricks. Those will be presented at the end of this review.
Pros / Cons
Pro: Custom Terrain
Con: May Be Harder For Some
Pro: Some Instructions In The Config
Con: No Ingame Editing Of Any Sorts
Pro: Can Make Your Own Generator (custom houses, dungeons, etc)
Con: Will Frustrate Some
Pro: Custom Colors!
