Prologue...
Death's Passage. A small, isolated alley between two blocks of flats in the heart of Post London. The dirt sparkled in the air, particles floating amidst the smell of smoke and rotting bodies, days old. The buildings either side of the demised road were destroyed. Bricks scattered across the floor, surrounding the flats and their wounds. Their battle scars. Every building had been torn apart by the mortars and foot soldiers with ProTekt grenades. The civilian's screams were muffled by the sound of explosions. White and purple flashes had sprung from either side of the street as the troops marched through, their masks black and red with the blood of their victims. Their clockwork eyes spinning behind their metal skin, rifles balanced perfectly up against their shoulders where their metallic bodies churned as they walked. The sky turned orange and grey with fumes and smoke, whilst the grenades exploded like popcorn. 18th September 3250, The ProTekt army and their first attack on the street now renamed Death's Passage.

Chapter One: Dominic Charles
"We're the power. We're the weapons. We're The Resistance!" Dominic was knelt in the dark basement of a ruined house outside of Post London. Five others sat with him, dirt smeared across their faces, sweat dripping from their foreheads. A few wore black bandanas tied around their heads and others small, circular goggles on top of their hair. They wore dark coloured blazers with fingerless, torn gloves. Hair clinging to their faces, long with red streaks piercing through. Their boots were large and black and their trousers were baggy and ripped.
"Beyond this point are the troops. Their defenses are strong and we're few in numbers. If we rush then we'll be walking into our own graves. We need to stick to the bushes and trees. When I say drop, you drop, got it?" There was a short silence followed by heads nodding and confident smiles forming. Dominic made a good leader. He was built the same as the rest of The Resistance but he had an aura of capability around him, as if he was made for this, made to form and lead The Resistance and free the world from ProTekt's grasp. He was Dominic Charles, and this was his army.
