this will be something I will be starting where I spotlight small lore sections of the map through the perspective of a in game survivor coming across them.
these will have spoilers for the maps lore so read at your own risk, if you don't want to be spoiled, then don't read them.

today I came across a apartment, it was barricaded from the inside but I managed to slip inside, it seemed like the perfect place to make camp for the night, so I did just that in the bedroom of the apartment, making sure to avoid stepping in a bloody mess on the living room floor, it looked like some kind of small animal. the only other thing of note was who I presume to be the apartment owner, dead in his own bead, still clutching a stack of paper.






the pages read as following:
"day-1

I saw monsters in the streets attacking people, eating them even! I was too scared to try and help anyone and just have barricaded my door, hopefully that is enough to keep them out. I have decided to wait for rescue, its sure to come eventually, right? it has to. until then I have mittens here to keep me company at least.

day-2
I have now realized that I am not going to have much supply's to last me long, I must ration my food and use as little energy as possible

day-3
the sounds of the panic seem to be going away now, from what I can see from the few windows my apartment has it only seems to be the creatures out there now. I hope rescue comes soon

day-4
I am running dangerously low on food. I may need to leave the apartment to go find food, though I am going to hold out a little longer to await rescue

day-5
I have officially run out of food, I am very hungry but I no longer have the strength to move aside the furniture or even break a window. I'm afraid of what I might do... mittens is ever present...

day-6
I feel like help may never come, I should have left while I could. now I am stuck here. completely alone, destined to die on my own..."

I feel I know what happend given the evidence around the apartment and his hungered ramblings. but I will leave it up to you to figure out if you know what it is...
