I came across this today completely by accident. The screenshot was taken in the spring of this year (May 25th). While playing with my cousin, I took a screenshot of his skin, it seemed funny, but it looks different in the screenshot. In the game (Bedrock Edition) his skin looked completely different. The upper part was transparent and if you look closely, this black thing was like some kind of entity that appeared for just a moment. I didn’t notice it directly in Minecraft.
This may well be some kind of visual bug, I do not deny it. It’s just that usually when I took screenshots this didn’t happen.
If we consider the option that this is some kind of entity, then this is a little annoying.
If you look at the screenshot, you will notice that this black thing is taller than the player’s model. My cousin used a custom skin, a regular texture that uses the standard Steve or Alex model. Let me note once again that his skin was transparent at the top of the model. The hands and head were not visible, they were simply absent from his skin.
If you look at the lower part where the diamond pants and elytra are visible, you will notice that the position of my cousin in the game does not coincide with the position of this black thing.

It can also be a glitch but I think it would effect the whole skin instead of just one part of it.
Or it could even be the pose itself. I have never seen a shield being so close to a player body like that before.
So TLTR it's most likely a glitch but it could be just the hat part being weird. See if you can get another screenshot of the skin when you play with your cousin again and maybe it shows up again.
Also, more than three months have passed since we played and I just don’t understand what it could be.
The only thing I remember is that my cousin's skin was transparent at the top. I made this post to help me understand what it could be.
I don't play Minecraft yet. Maybe this thing is really connected to some mob or item in the game itself. The only thing I can think of is the Enderman, but that thing's arms are too short and wide compared to the Enderman's arms.
