hello im here to tell you what shading means. shading is a way to make your skin look like its real but if you don't shade then it doesn't look as real. shading is tough i use paint.net and mcskin3d to make my skins i use paint.net to make the whole skin and shade it and i use mcskin3d to view it. so really im just telling you if you want it to look real then try shading! making the skin is alot easier then shading, with shading it takes me about 1h 30 mins to shade my skins. so how to learn shading is to look up a tutorial or watch good skinners make skins like halucid did a time laps and so did lots of other people and leastereo did a couple livestreams hope this is clear :)
