Introduction

Recently I started to questions what it means to post anything from creations to blogs on Planet Minecraft. What do those views really mean to us? What do favourites actually signify? And what is the meaning of subscribing? Recently I realised how wrong I was on what these all mean.

Viewership

When I publish a texture I get on average 400-500 views on my first upload. The average texture that is published gets around 300-400 views on there first update. Well so what these numbers are tiny!! Well actually that is not strictly the truth. We all have made a huge mistake in writing off these numbers. I will demonstrate this by the following example: The average class in a medium - large size school is around 25 people. So picture 25 people. 400 divided by 25 = 16. So now pictures sixteen classes of 25 people. That is how many people have viewed your texture.

Diamonds

FACT: Recently I discovered that when users download a texture or project from PMC they are highly unlikely to diamond your or your creation after they have downloaded your project as they may find something they do not like or not have time to come back to your page.

When you publish something like a texture or project to Planet Minecraft you sometimes will get diamonds. The average creation on Planet Minecraft will get around 1-2 diamonds. That means you. So after a while you start to feel like your creation was not very good at all just because you have 2 diamonds and the guy on the popular real has something like 36 o 100 diamonds. You now instantly think that he must have done something extremely good to get there. This is probably the case around 25% of timeo ¦ Hey wait a minute what about the other 75%?

The other 75o ¦

This 75% have probably done something decent like a new parkor map or a modern house ect. This may look somewhat special from the pictures provided. In this 75 precenter category the majority of creations are created by a skilled/decent Photoshopper. People are sucked in the project made by this 75 precenter because it looks pretty good from the outside. This is the first physiological step to getting a diamond. In the case of textures and projects it is key to have good pictures to back up your front page. Otherwise the reader will come off his sugar rush and end up on a low. So now that you have some good pictures to back it up you also need a good description and some backstory on the texture or project. ONly put youtube videos on your page if you think your project is exceptional, otherwise you may lose your cover that you have created from your good pictures and text. This is probably the only way to have a good chance of being diamonded. I have tried and tested it and I have found it rather effective with my average creation now reaching the 4 diamond marks. As soon as I have found more effective ways to get diamonds I will update this blogs so subscribe, favourite and stay tuned!!

Subscribers

People who subscribe to you did not just subscribe to you for absolutely no reason. There was something they liked that you did that they liked so they subscribed. So what better way to get more subscribers and views than ask your subscribers around once a moth what they would like new! This has helped me enormously! Recently I got a request to build more houses and hey it worked it got 4 diamonds and around a hundred or so views! Success!

Final note

There will be more updates coming for this blog so stay tuned and subscribe. Remember I am always more than happy for you to give feedback and me to help out with suggestions on your creations. So dono t forget to diamond, favourite and subscribe!!
