The Queen Bee is here to save 1.15!... or something like that.
Jokes aside, 1.15 was a great update. It fixed messy code and tons of bugs (although it even added some, haha...). However, something felt like it was missing: a Queen Bee. So, this datapack has got you covered! With a model from SystemZee and Endergized, the Queen Bee proves as a poisonous foe and a noble protector at the same time!
Content
Queen Bee
Firstly, the elephant in the room: The Queen Bee! The Queen Bee can be deadly or friendly depending on if you keep your space or not. As a territorial creature, she does not like to be approached and will display clouds of anger before attacking you if you get too close for comfort. However, attacking her is able to enrage her... and the whole hive. The Queen likes herself to be heard, so attacking her will alert the entire hive to your presence. She will also begin to unleash poisonous blasts that last half a second every so often to make sure that you keep your distance. It is not advisable to kill a Queen Bee because when she dies, another bee will step up to take her place regardless.
Nearby bees do not become aggravated when you attack the Queen Bee in 1.16 due to bee changes. I do not know of a fix.
Royal Jelly
Royal Jelly can be found inside of honeycombs. Simply break a honeycomb while holding a single glass bottle (not a stack) and it will consume a glass bottle from your inventory to produce Royal Jelly. Drinking normal honey now only cures poison (restored to default as of when this was written), but now Royal Jelly cures ALL negative status effects while leaving the positive ones alone!
Chainmail Apiarist Suit
Chainmail armour now serves as an apiarist suit for all of your beekeeping needs! If you need to take down a hive or a nest or you accidentally tap a bee, you're now safe from bee stings (excluding the Queen's poison blasts). Chainmail is only able to be found in dungeons, on zombies, and on skeletons, so it makes the reward for acquiring it worth the price.
Once again, major credits to SystemZee and Endergized for the model of the Queen Bee.

1 Update Logs
New features & changes to the Queen Bee : by Pigeon1H 01/18/2020 12:16:56 amJan 18th, 2020
Greetings!
A "Bee"tter Update has gotten a major update.
First of all, the entire page is updated and looks a lot neater and more organised. Secondly, there are new features added. The Queen Bee is now able to blast poison clouds that only last half of a second when attacked. Royal Jelly now takes the function of the original honey bottles and cures all negative status effects while normal honey bottles only cure poison like it does in vanilla. Finally, wearing full chainmail armour acts as an apiarist suit and negates damage from bees (except for the Queen Bee's poison blasts).
Hope you enjoy the new updates!
