Pairs well with Alternate Wandering Traders
This datapack modifies the useless trades that the wandering trader normally gives and replaces them with 8 different variants based on biomes or dimensions. All variants can occur anywhere in the overworld. This datapack also makes it easier to find them.
Features:
- Changes all wandering traders trades to biome or dimension specific trades
- Wandering traders are affected with 60 seconds of glowing upon first spawning
- Wandering traders announce when they spawn in chat along with what type of trader they are
- Allows you to modify the spawn mechanics of wandering traders
To summon a trader variant, type: /function bwt:summon_wanderer/(type)
Available types:
arctic
forest
ocean
end
nether
cave
desert
normal
nomadic
random
If you wanted to summon a forest trader, you would type /function bwt:summon/forest

10 Update Logs
Update 11 : by Astrune 06/23/2021 4:07:17 pmJun 23rd, 2021
June 23rd, 2021
BIG CHANGES
Now requires separate Astrune Library Data Pack
All Wandering Traders are now forced to despawn after 1 hour (there may have been an issue preventing them from despawning before)
Trade Changes:
TRADES ARE NOW RANDOMIZED!!!
Every trader now has random items at varying costs and amounts based on their region
Each trader now has 2 universal trades
Default (Normal) Wandering Trader now has trades based on overworld region traders (about 1 per region)
Trades can be customized to a great extent (adding regions and traders requires changing more than one file)
OTHER CHANGES
Changed spawn radius for modified spawn to be the same as the vanilla game (48 blocks, but at least 16 blocks away from a player)
Changed default spawn time for modified spawning to 3.5 hours (the average time it takes for a wandering trader to spawn)
Changed maximum spawn time for modified spawning to 24 hours
Increased glowing time for new wandering traders to 2 minutes
Removed the chance for modified spawning to break if time until next spawn is lowered

How can i set it to spawn every minecraft day for example or every 3th day ?
Well i found out.
You just have to enter /trigger astrune
Click on settings > Datapack Settings > Better Wandering Trader
And there is the option to change the frecuency of it spawning and even how many they spawn.
Also, a minecraft day is 20 min, so for a wandering trader every day set it to 20 , for every two days 40 and so on.
Instead their trades are exciting and useful. And that also makes diamonds renewable.
1.) Is there any way to prevent the overhead names from appearing on one of these traders?
2.) Is it fine to edit the files of the trades to remove the custom weapons (custom named weapons) [as in will it affect anything base-datapack wise?]
3.) Is there a way to entirely remove the sounds of them arriving/text arriving or can it be toggled?
4.) Can we toggle the glowing effect?
Please do answer back soon! Thank you so much for making a wonderful data-pack for us on Planet Minecraft!
