This datapack modifies the useless trades that the wandering trader normally gives and replaces them with 8 different variants based on biomes or dimensions. All variants can occur anywhere in the overworld. This datapack also makes it easier to find them.

Features:
  • Changes all wandering traders trades to biome or dimension specific trades
  • Wandering traders are affected with 60 seconds of glowing upon first spawning
  • Wandering traders announce when they spawn in chat along with what type of trader they are

1. Spawn in a trader using either the command (/summon wandering_trader ~ ~ ~) or spawn egg or find one naturally
2. Stand next to them and make sure the one you want to change is the closest one to you
3. Type this command: /execute as @e[type=wandering_trader,sort=nearest,limit=1] run function bwt:change_trades/(type of trader)

All types:
arctic
cave
desert
end
forest
nether
normal
ocean

An example command if you wanted a forest trader:
/execute as @e[type=wandering_trader,sort=nearest,limit=1] run function bwt:change_trades/forest

Nice to see another trader datapack. the previous one I had stopped working after a particular 1.16 snapshot. Is the loot customizable?

cool idea, the cave wanderer seems kind OP tho since he makes diamonds farmable.

As of right now, wandering traders don't spawn very often and I set the maximum amount of trades to buy diamonds to 4, so you can only get that many at most and cave wanderers only spawn 20% of the time.

However, I do have similar thoughts as I have considered increasing the amount of emeralds to buy diamonds. The trades were just based on vanilla trade ratios as you can normally trade 1 diamond for 1 emerald from the blacksmith I believe.

Ah, sorry I guess I didn't really take into account the rarity. I would def consider upping the cost to make like 20+ emeralds per diamond. That's just me tho! Great pack like I said before, I can tell you worked really hard on this.
