I feel like this is a statement that's technically true (exclusively for "stole", saying "ruined" is just eugh...) but people don't say it for that reason, they say it because they're trying to get under your skin.
And tbh, it's not as if the rainbow is the only nice gradient color palette, or even a nice one to begin with... And it's not like you can't use a rainbow without immediately signaling lgbt stuff. If you like working with colors you should be able to transcend the thing they're associated with anyway, or just slightly tweak the colors to give it a unique tinge.

I say if you want to make it and post it, go for it! If the wrong audience finds it there are mods on the site that can help. :)

It's hard for me to talk to anyone when the only thing I know we have in common is being lgbt in some way :p I've been thinking about making a resource pack that rebrands netherite into "transethyst" and posting it here, but I just feel like that would get me attention that I don't want from other sources...
