I don't believe this pack works anymore...it shows it has been reloaded but when I drink the water it doesn't do anything

thank u! i was looking for this for a while and i finally found it. how did u make it? im really interesed on datapacks, but i dont know even where to start. if u could make a video of how did u make this datapack would be very useful for me. thanks!

I'm not very good at explaining things so I don't think I'll make a video, but I use advancements for detecting when the water is drank, then I run a function that gives the player saturation, I recommend for starting on data packs, you look in other data packs to see how things work, and maybe follow some tutorials on youtube, that's how I started out.

can you try to do this but add a thirst meter for water? and maybe if it gets to high a death message could say "(player) drank too much water" ?

There is other data packs like that, I made this one for the hunger bar. Hydration seems like a good one to use if you want a thirst meter!

how much saturation does water provide ? and wouldn't that create an infinite food source because you can carry a water bottle and a water bucket and fill it up every time you get hungry?

it fills two hunger points, So yes it can be a infinite food source but it doesnt fill alot of the hunger bar, So it's really like just in case you ran outta food. It would be better to have real food for a food source. (Like steak)
