This data pack allows you to put horses (and other larger mobs) into boats.

Normally, you cannot put a mob into a boat if their hitbox is larger than the boat hitbox, as then you can't click on the boat. This pack solves this issue by creating a new hitbox for the boat that is slightly larger than the mob riding it. I've done my best to make it function as close as possible to vanilla.


Mobs supported:

  • Horses
  • Skeleton Horses
  • Zombie Horses
  • Camels (if they're not sitting)
  • Donkeys
  • Mules

This is the intial release I wanted to get out before I go away on holiday, I plan to update this a little bit when I get back. It was a bit of a pain to get it all to work, so let me know if you come across any issues :)

Could you see if you could update it to 1.21.4 too? i tried it on there and it doesn't seem to work. or maybe im doing something wrong, how do you use this datapack? I plopped it into datapacks and Minecraft says its enabled, but i tried to push my horse into the boat and he doesn't fit and wont go in.

Yeah no you're doing it correctly, it's just not update to 1.21.4 yet. I'm busy with exams for the next few days but I will try update it as soon as I can!

It might actually work fine in 1.19.4 if you want to test it yourself (unless you have already), but I will have a look. It can't go any lower than 1.19.4 though as it relies on a command that was only added in that version.
