A very simple and useful datapack.
With this datapack you will be able to craft more things using only basalt, obviously all the recipes make sense.
1)You can craft all stone objects using basalt instead stone in the recipe.
2)You can get stone blocks smelting the basalt block
3)You can get granite,diorite and andesite if you put the basalt in the stonecutter
4)Basalt, very rarely, drops iron/gold nuggets and ores in general(except emerald).
