An evil infection is trying to overtake the world, and simplify it. Lower resolution textures, billboard sprites, and chiptune music. Unless someone stops it, nothing will ever be the same....
Take on the challenge, and purge the world of the titular pixel pandemic! But beware... someone is watching your every step...
Overview
Pixel Pandemic is a datapack that adds 3 new items, 1 mini-boss and 1 boss, 6 advancements, and an infection that spreads with time.
After creating a world with this pack, you'll find, that an infection has started spreading from somewhere near your spawn point. If you try destroying it, you'll notice, that normal tools are of no use!
To clean up infected blocks, you need the Upscaler. You can craft it by throwing three diamonds, three ingots of iron, and an Infection Core on the ground. Infection Cores are dropped by the Bitcrusher's loyal minions - the Zombytes. A Zombyte can be summoned by throwing a stack of rotten flesh onto a black flower that grows on some infected grass blocks.
Using your brand new Upscaler, you can restore blocks to their non-infected form. Now, you have to fix all the infected blocks, before they manage to take over the whole world!
However, before healing the final block, make sure that you are ready for a fight - The Bitcrusher was following you while you were destroying his infection, and he's angry! (and make sure you have "Hostile Creatures" enabled in the sound options, as some sick music is going to play!)

Tips
Clearing out the infection
When holding the Upscaler, you can see the amount of infected blocks left above your hotbar.
If you are having trouble finding the remaining infected blocks, try right clicking while crouching using the Upscaler. This will highlight all the remaining blocks.
