Genuine question: If you watch MC content and are invested in series’ like Hermitcraft or the billion DSMP kinda stuff, how do you like your vids presented? Like 45min vids? hyper edited? Short form content?

I prefer longer videos because it gives things more space to happen instead of rushing along. I don't like hyper-edited (tons of visual or sound effects or unnecessary cuts) or short-form (like modern scroll-by short-form I assume, not short films) because the prior is overwhelming and annoying and the latter doesn't have much to it. I haven't kept up with Hermitcraft in particular lately, but I have been watching Ethoslab's older modded series videos which are around 30 minutes or more and those are nice.

For me, the sweet spot is probably around 20-25 minutes, because even if I watch 3 of them in one go, I'm still less likely to feel guilty about each compared to a 45 minute one. As I started winding down my Hermitcraft, the last channel I watch is Etho (so minor cuts when relevant and necessary), although since he keeps doing 50 minute episodes I sometimes watch them approximately in halves.

But when I watch it's for medium-long content (way past the 8 minute mark or the old 10 minute mark), and the stuff that's funny is said, not edited in through effects (of course, it can be planned and cut around very specifically), and the 50 minute videos are still some 2+ weeks of footage condensed.

Personally I like just chill longer videos, not exactly hours long but a good 25-45 min video, doesnt have to be heavily edited either. I love hearing people talk or show more of their stuff but its hard to get that with shorter content honestly

My most recent texture pack is very special to me. One of the few resource packs I was never able to find for my Calpurnia series and I’m glad it didn’t exist. A LOT of skills have come from learning blockbench, texture pack file management, and texturing. Very happy its out.

I could start making some silly models for my Lvl 50 celebration? Sound fun? :3
