If you do decide to use it, make sure it is .org, as there is a fake .com that is redirecting you to some shady site.
The official site now has really bad ads and "I'm not a robot" confirmations, all of which can directly lead to your account being hacked and your machine compromised.
It may ask you to 'complete a 1-time verification' or 'Prove you're not a robot', or a new one being 'install this adblocker'
DO NOT CLICK ON ANYTHING.

For modern browsers, it can be difficult for a site to directly hack your account; usually they force you to download malware, run a command on your computer, or some other scummy practice. You can still upload images, but it's likely that the site or some other third-party is tracking your IP and selling it. This happens with many sites, not just postimages.
Some things that it may do:
1. It may fullscreen your browser, and pretend that your account is being hacked. IT IS NOT ACTUALLY BEING HACKED IF YOU DO NOT DO ANYTHING.
What you immediately need to do is PRESS F11 if you're on windows.Then, press CTRL+W to close the tab. Whatever iti s, it is malicous. If it asks you to run a command into your computer by pressing windows+R, or something to that extent, DO NOT DO IT. IMMEDIATELY close out. Please share this post and spread awareness. This is happening to countless sites, and ransomware and malware is only spreading more. Stay safe out there. Thank you.

So I got a weird DM from a user precious222

Before I got to see the message their user was blocked

In the message (from what the preview thing I can see) they mention something abt approaching me wrong?

They could be talking about the dm, but it could also be some they interacted w/ me

However I can't remember talking w/ them ever, nor can I find them in my notifs

My questions are:

Does anyone know them? Why were they blocked? Were they scammers? Hackers?

I am genuinely confused and hoping they ain't hackers who hack ppl they interact w/

Well then, I think you've already guessed that the DM and the account being locked are connected.

My main theory is that it was a person who disliked some kind of group of people that you fall into. The user got into a fight with someone else about it, tried to apologize to you for that same resentment, the moderators found out about the fight, the account got locked.

It's a drastic claim to make and I'm kind of worried about bringing it up, especially on a public post. 😬
