Not everybody is a writer. I think the biggest advantage would be to people that are foreign, and speak little to no English. It would make it a lot easier on them.

I may be biased as I'm currently on page 13 of a paper documenting the problems with AI (at least in regards to art) but eeEhH would we need that feature? Feels a tad unnecessary at the very least you know? (admittedly it would probably be pretty cool though lol)

I'm with ya brotha. The Pal-entine's event was able to push me because it's directly an event for the community but with submissions like texture packs or your datapacks, it is still a lot of time to commit to submitting something. Always do it for yourself, if something really sparks your interest you'll find motivation. Don't push yourself.

Or just make a datapack that makes dirt craft into diamonds, that's always a hit LUL

as already mentioned, a break can definitely help. i've reached a similar point with where i'm at right now and i've been focusing on developing other things, which has helped a lot.

Correct, managing it was too much. We were also facing issues with delays in getting important updates to our plugins and this was causing us to remain on an older version of MC. Over time, this caused a loss of interest among players.

Having an official PMC server is a lot of pressure on the admins and the mod team. We are responsible for everything that happens on there, unlike with 3rd party servers posted on PMC.

We also faced an issue with moderation on the server. Myself, Yuki and Adrestio were the moderators who were on there the most and I didn't see others much. Our schedules became busy and we couldn't dedicate as much time to the server. From there, rule breaking began to become out of control and it was just easier for Cyp to retire the server.

While I miss the PMC SMP, I don't want it to come back. Unless we have a larger and more active staff team on the server, with very clear and concise rules, it would just be another round of chaos like the past 2 attempts at a PMC server. Maybe some things are just not meant to be.
