We've been focusing on optimizing PMC lately and was stumped by something for past few days and how to approach it. However, while digging into more advanced solutions, we identified a simple fix that was slowing down all content listing pages. This also impacted "cards" on the site that listed content such as trending, more content by {username}, etc.
You should see a significant improvement while browsing all major content sections (maps, skins, texture packs, data packs, mods, etc) except for servers, sorry. Will fix server listing speed soon / next.
This should have impact on entire platform speed... a great day for dev and PMC!

I'm getting a screening for ADHD (Not just the diagnosis I've had from elementary school), I got a new job, and I've got some financial aid for a super cheap community college.
That being said, I'm not sure how much my heart is in Minecraft work anymore. It's very thankless for me, and that's okay! I just can't keep going at this rate. I make most of my work in hopes of getting more commissions. It's my most sellable skill and I've been in poverty a majority of my life; I'm constantly hustling. Even with years of practice, I can't cut into the algorithm enough to even get a few commissions.
I don't expect people to want or enjoy my work, that'd be silly. So that's why I need to take a step back from everything I've been doing for years and try to find a new skill. One less based on a dying game. I know I can do great things in life, but I won't get that here. So for now, I will be closing commissions and not worrying about MC anything for a bit. Even if it's a comfort.
Wish me luck as I take time to find what I want to be in life! Thank you all for the support across the years. And I'll come back with updates and random things here and there, dw.
