After a random surge in motivation, Jelly the Not-Fish 1.4 (and then 1.4.1 to fix a minor bug) has been released TODAY across TIC-80, Newgrounds, and Codeberg!

In this update, I've added a new character, Shelly (the Not-Fish), who for the time being is more or less a player skin, but in future updates may have unique mechanics. In addition, I've also added a shield powerup which allows the player to survive the impact of one bomb. The ability for shields to spawn, as well as the character you play as, can be toggled in the options menu.

If you decide to try it out, feedback for what I can improve in future versions is appreciated (but not mandatory)!

I've kind of been reminded that I should probably release more of my own productions involving voice acting, not merely to prop up this gig but because voice acting is fun and I'd like to do more of it. I've kind of already released a few things involving that in recent months, and I hope to continue doing so.
