Is there a reason for why copying a part of a skin with the tools provided changes colours? As in, I copy a part that has 3 different colours, paste it, and it has more than 5, with pixels that were previously the same apparently differing in values.

I have noticed something regarding skin textures. Making a palette from skin I noticed a few black pixels on the palette, they have very low values, in RGB things like 3 - 3 - 3, 6 - 6 - 6 or 9 - 9 - 9. There is also 0 - 0 - 0 but this one seems to be there no matter what. The black colours I have found apparently originate from invisible pixels, with the 0 - 0 - 0 being the norm, but there are the other ones, which I have found placed on parts of the outer layer of a skin, they are seemingly treated as invisible pixels and can't be colour picked, unless you use a program like paint.net, then you can colour pick them and see the differences in values. Using threshold 0 bucket tool also reveals their placement (they are treated as a separate colour from the normal invisible pixels), and they can be erased and then will no longer appear on the colour palette. But having some invisible pixels that are differentiated as a separate colour is quite weird.

Sorry,I was not active, i had some problems with my health. I had a chirurgical operation last month in one eye and my eyesight is not optimal for make a good job.That's the reason i didn't make some new skins the last 6 months. I had grey star and a hole in the retina; I see distorted and, I have to be patient, it comes better... In a year or two, i had to go for the other eye...

More than 8 years of PMC! That's a long time... I remember, I had very limited English skills and was a computer noob. That got me into a lot of trouble, including posting wrong pictures and didn't know to undo them and such things... I also mixed things up in English, for example, the word faggot and maggot in a skin title, which got me reprimanded by a mod in PMC. Or I asked the community what that word meant, and it was something related to se*ual practices. I embarrassed myself. I also had the stupid habit of copying the palette from a skin and instead of using a new, neutral skin, i scribbled over the ones that weren't mine. Even though I put a completely different skin on it, a signature or forgotten pixels or something remained, and someone noticed, and all hell broke loose. Yes, folks, I've been through a lot and experienced a lot, and not everything was brilliant. Today I made more effort and above all I learned...

If there are any moderators reading this, may I know how is the situation with moving skins from one profile to another? If I were to remove this account, and would want to move some of my highest quality skins from it to another profile by downloading their files and posting them on another profile, would I have any problems (like warning for copying skins)? If yes, how can I avoid it?

I am currently considering removing this account.

There are several reasons to that.
Many of the skins I have posted on this profile were low effort, for example, minecraft textures edited using the opacity tool.
My behaviour here, for a long time was quite childish, and I am not sure if I want such things to remain public, it hints at my age (you can see when I was childish) and portrays my behaviour as one that my current behaviour is by a large part different from.
The profile mostly stays inactive.

There are some things that hold me back.
Some of the skins I post here are high quality and the profile gives a nice place for them, with a date of their creation, which is a good proof that I am the original creator, in case someone tries to pretend my work is theirs.
The profile also serves as a place where I can see what I made in the past, it brings some memories.

Nevertheless, because of the fact that most of the content here is low quality, I do not have strong reasons to leave this here.

If anyone wonders, why not just let the profile be, I do not think that this is especially needed. As I have mentioned, there are not many things especially worth saving. The profile was the most active and had people talk to me through it during the time when the skins were not high quality and my behaviour was childish. New skins are posted rarely and it just feels weird to change the profile this much, from a lot of low effort content and childish behaviour to little higher quality content and me not interacting through the profile with others much.

I also have a skindex account, which I also consider deleting. My behaviour there was even more childish and the skins there were even lower effort, and I did not rather make anything of higher quality there.

Other thing that could hold me back on both sites are the people I interacted with, but many of those people through my about-4-years of making skins (with large breaks, if you can call long inactivity a break) have also left the sites, or are inactive. Even if they are, through a long time of my inactivity, this profile was probably mostly forgotten.

Me and my brother Alksander will probably sometimes post content on our shared profile alkasper, which has higher quality skins (and not many of lower quality skins, so remaking them is an option too) and not many interactions with other profiles. It maybe is not a fresh start, because the profile was made quite a long time ago, but it does not have a long history of low quality content and childish behaviour. This profile on the other hand, was built on this type of content and behaviour, the type which I no longer seem to represent.

It was a long time... after my exhibition I fall in a real depression. Because my long time partner was going and the home Changing; all this was to much for me; I lost interest in everything, nothing was fun anymore...No more ideas for skins, I fell into a black hole and had a hard time getting out again.I;m sorry that I didn't respond and didn;t look in for a long time, it wasn;t meant to be malicious, I didn;t have the strength to explain anything.I want to take it slow and check in regularly again, maybe make skins here and there, yes I;m feeling better...And as first i will check the groups i added and update if i can.after this I want to see how much of my skins have been recharged by other people(lol)...And, above all, I have to thank everyone who supported me when I was away, I was quite surprised how far I have come...I was level 83 and today at 85, wow, that;s, I mean, well, um, I can;t find the words to properly thank you.You, Planet Minecraft grls and guys are the best...
