Well, the reason why I often make my characters barefoot is mainly because I suck at drawing shoes properly and don't have many different references for it (I mean, actual different shoes type I own) while I just have to look at my feet to have the reference for barefoot characters ;)
Also, I think it looks more natural this way, maybe it's cultural, but I've never been wearing shoes or slippers at home, and rarely socks, same in my garden. It's like I try to put a bit of myself in my characters this way (・ε・`*)

It's so cute! Also something I've noticed is ou rarely give your characters shoes or socks. Is there a reason for this? Most people I know give their characters shoes so I think it's unique you don't. <33 Also, the glow on the wings and flowers is so cute~
