hey-hey all,

regarding some recently-deleted posts, please be mindful that the staff team is all for showing love and support for others. we want you guys to be there for one another, and recognize the value in having a community you can fall back on for reassurance through highs, but especially through lows.

but, we also need to be mindful of how we communicate our support for others. it's easy to fall into some bad habits that can, maybe counterintuitively, hurt more than they help. that's not to say that the term "suicide" is forbidden. i know it's a touchy subject, and the word itself kind of sticks to the roof of your mouth, but september is suicide prevention awareness month and it's good to be up front, and to use the proper term for this particular type of crisis scenario.

the problem (if you can call it that, but i don't think of it as a "problem" so much as a "misunderstanding") isn't that you guys are trying to help, or that your vocabulary is crass or offensive. please know that. i love that you guys help each other through rough patches.

our team is just worried for the possibility that users may feel pressure to act as crisis councilors, as opposed to as friends or those who would like to show support. this kind of pressure can have a negative effect on other peoples' mental health, especially in those individuals who do not have professional training in crisis counseling.

if you feel a fellow PMC user is in genuine crisis, that is, you believe they're in danger of harming themselves and/or others, please contact our team before you contact anyone else. report the comment/wallpost/forums post, or else make a private ticket and/or send a private message to our team. we regularly connect people with resources for help.

Sup pmc, I have been having the art drawing itches lately and been doing art more!

I think it's been about a year at this point since I last asked, but if anyone has any art requests or has anything they might want to see drawn leave a comment here on this post. I am game to try and draw whatever! I won't promise fully rendered pieces, but at the very least I will do sketches and most likely colors.
On that note, I have a twist! I have a list of numbers, and if you comment something for me to draw I want you to also pick any number 1-7 and add it in your comment. The numbers will determine what medium of art I'm using, but I will leave the numbers as a surprise mystery as to what you'd be getting for the medium :>

Expanded view is available on all Player and Mob Skins allowing you to soak in every glorious pixel.

Skin artists can now choose whether to disable downloads on per skin basis. Why? Because some artists want to share their personal skins, some want to share commissions, and some just want credit and more control over how their work gets used elsewhere.

When you upload or edit a skin (or mob skin), you'll find a new "Allow public downloads" toggle. Turn it off and:

• The download button disappears from the page
• The direct download link is blocked, even if someone has it bookmarked
• Your skin still shows up fully in listings, your profile, and search. It's just view-only

This is opt-in and only affects new uploads or skins you edit. Nothing changes for your existing downloadable content unless you flip the switch yourself.

Artists please note that this feature discourages casual downloads but cannot guarentee complete protection of your work. Hoping to see some high quality inspirational skins that would otherwise never see the light of PMC!

Added the ability to download the skin animations in .gif or .mp4 format so you can actually share it properly on X / Reddit and beyond!
