Updated my artblog with all the stuff I posted but didn't add.

So, about Sophia's redesign. There's actually not a single thing I like about her. The ideas were right, the execution sucked (for example her hair was TOTALLY NOT what I wanted). So now she's gonna be a completely different character visually, yet she will keep pretty much all the details of the previous version.

Here's the new hairstyle (the general look, at least) I did alongside her chibi head:



I've also accidentally deleted one of my canvases, so now I only have a screenshot of it (soldier uniform I did a while ago is also gone, because I usually do multiple drawings on one canvas to fill it out).

I've redesigned Sophia (yes, that means I'll make a THIRD cover for my non-existent book at some point) and made this lil' chibi, so Daniel can rest (imagine being a mascot for 5 years).

I've actually only redesigned her hair and I still have to do the clothes :-P

Quite (un)funny how I've already cut out 2 entire chapters for a relatively interesting beginning and had to temporarily get rid of 2 characters for a better pacing. Just so you know, I had like, 5 chapters planned out. Now I only have 2 chapters worth of story and have to figure out how to move all the important stuff from the deleted scenes to next chapters (I do have a general plot, I'm talking about the chapters that were planned out fully).

At first my intention was to write a story in a rather simple way — just describing whatever the heck is happening and that's it. And here I am, trying to make the beginning engaging, wondering what POV to use, trying to write less straightforward and more pleasing, changing the story just so it blends with the writing, thinking about logic way more than I did before, cutting out scenes that feel unnatural...

I'm just writing a real book at this point instead of a little cringy fic. This takes far more time than I expected. I'll have such a hard time translating it into English...

Anyway, once again, I really hope it turns out good... ish, at least. If I ever feel confident with the written chapters, I'll post 'em. Right now though, I fear that I'll have to rewrite a lot, so that basically means no publishing until everything's finished.

No, I do not intend on making long wallposts everyday. I just had a lot of thoughts and stuff. Thanks to whoever cares to read all that.

I'm done with music. For the rest of the month.

Turns out music addiction exists. Turns out it's bad. Wow. Who would've thought.

I listen to a lot of music, though. I listen to it for hours, all while spinning around my flat. I'm regularly trying to discover new songs. I memorize the lyrics. I decompose them. I translate them in my mind. I'm whispering them to myself the whole day.

The good thing is, I'm not really suffering as of right now. I don't have much trouble falling asleep and I still enjoy music as always.

But, yeah, I'm addicted. Having melodies and lyrics in your head at all times kinda sucks ass. Spending hours just listening to stuff also doesn't strike with me.

So, just for the sake of it, I won't be listening to music for the rest of the month, as I said. Just to see what happens (if happens at all)



Already having a hard time when hearing any melody playing. Instant reminder to mumble something.

Another annoying thing is... my characters. You see, a lot of organisations and characters from my universe were based on songs (either that, or I might've found fitting songs for some later on).

My next objective is murdering "TikTok attention span" syndrome in me. Not once have I watched a TikTok, but YouTube's making me procrastinate so damn much. Skill issue tbh.

The good and the bad thing about my whole "chelyabacorpse" nickname is that if you Google it, you'll get pretty much EVERYTHING that involves me, (except the things where I use other names of course, like this account for example) because who the heck else would think of a name like this.


Unrelated to all of the above: I've found a comfortable way to sign my drawings. I didn't do it before 'cause:
1) Who tf would want to steal my shitty scribbles
2) I didn't want to put damn watermarks over my art and just making a signature in the corner is useless.

From now on I think I'll have a signature, but with a little twist, in case someone tries to cover it. Or maybe I won't, I don't care that much, I'm getting, what, 1-2 likes on Tumblr? Yeah, no way someone steals from a nameless person. This will be of more use if I ever make a VK account or smth.

Made a new cover for my book (I don't like the previous cover anymore).




Went for a specific style that's quite new to me (inspired by Ferry's works). The overall idea's nice, but could be executed better in composition and stuff. Still like it.

The book's still being written. I'm figuring more things about the world, the plot, and I've actually written a chapter that's readable. I'll post it on an underground website for people to give me some advice before writing more (I could translate it and post it here or somewhere more popular, but I feel like I just won't get any critique in that case).

Sorry for barely checking out everyone's stuff. Just as my brain rot, or whatever it was, healed, I got sick! I already had an allergy last weekend! Just as I was ready to start writing, drawing etc. I'm once again sick, and once again, my days off are ruined. All I got to do in, like, 2 weeks, is some experimenting with my current lineart and a couple of additional thoughts on the plot and stuff.

If I get better soon, maybe I'll still have some time, but I'm so damn disappointed about how the only holidays we have after the winter ones have turned into helldays for me.

I promise to catch up and maybe even post something, but right now I'm dying of pain. Bye bye 🤫🧏

My brain's broken, I think.

I haven't been doing anything this week (it's almost Thursday, I didn't do a thing after Saturday). Literally. Just watching YouTube and even that I can barely do, 'cause my attention span has decreased to that of a TikTok addict for some reason. I had so much time and I didn't do a thing for my stuff, nor did I do anything studying-related. All I want to do is to sleep and that's it. A фucking curse or something.

Guess I'll have to fill a "head replacement form".

PMC! Soooo, I have good news and "bad" news!

Good news, the Creator Analytics update is ready but the bad news is the timing isn't right to launch. I have some IRL things happening that require my undivided attention. All good things though, so no worries there. It's just best to wait until things are settled so that I can return the same attention to the update and you.

Creator Analytics WILL release next month! It took longer than initially expected for a number of unexpected reasons but scope of work also grew in many directions for the best. There's always more to do after the launch but there's more than enough to be useful and fun now and into the foreseeable future and historical past interests. Always nice when things motivate you to go, go, go. Didn't help switching chart libraries last week but know it was the right decision for the short and long run.

You'll see soon and I'm looking forward to having the proper time to respond to bugs and feature requests.

Been testing some new ibis brushes I yoinked from the net + designed another faction uniform.

Turned out well, not exactly as I imagined them looking, but it's probably because of the overcoat. Not sure if I'll stick to this artstyle, probably not. I think it will do for designing purposes tho.

Had nothing to do in college. For more than an hour. Colored another sketch. Almost finished it on the way home. The bus malfunctioned.

Btw, I experimented a bit more with coloring and... this looks more interesting I guess?

I think I won't be posting any more characters for now, I got the general feeling of Sophia's crew and that's practically all I needed. I really need to focus on the general plot now and I *REALLY NEED* to start making notes — it's nigh impossible to visualize the plot chain right now. It's all messed up.

I think I'm going to be less and less active online. 4 weeks turn into 1, and I just can't keep up. I'm also thinking about leaving this website altogether, but I probably won't for now (no explanations).

After a roller coaster ride of locating, merging, migrating and auditing massive amounts of data (nearly a billion records), I'm back on crossing off front-end features until remaining tasks are down to launch preparation. The bulk of the work is done, last 10% requires pushing through and eventually leaving some ideas for post launch.

I'm reading Wuthering Heights rn, and I can confidently say that the place demonstrating hell itself truly is... England. The memes were right dammit.

I also haven't slept in 23 hours, so I'll probably pass out soon. It's just that the book is interesting and I also went to hang out with my old friends for the first time in half a year. I'll try to post something if I'll still have time this weekend.

My father died today. Or maybe it was yesterday. I barely knew him, except for his addictions, so the only thing this means to me is that I'll be getting a benefit every month for the next three years.

I've been down mentally for quite some time, my heart's been aching badly for the last three days, and the lack of sleep doesn't do me any good either.
