    We'll be ending day 6 with two labels today, lithromantic and recipromantic! ❤️🧡💛🤍🖤 ❤️🩷💚🤍🖤

    Lithromantic, also known as akoiromantic, is a term used by those who may feel romantic attraction, but may not want this feeling reciprocated by the other person, which may cause them to lose interest or feelings towards said person. They may still feel fine being in a relationship, depending on personal preference.

    On the opposite end, we have recipromantic! This is a label used by those who won't feel romantic attraction until they know that the feeling is mutual.

    Both of these labels have a sexual orientation counterpart, being lithosexual and reciprosexual respectively!

    Of course, everybody has their own experience identifying as these labels! This shouldn't be a guideline, rather an idea of what a person might go through when they identify with this :)


    Why do we need to learn about these labels? Aren't they divisive?
    Of course, everybody has their preferences. There is absolutely no need to identify with a label, which is totally fine! However, some people may find identifying with a label more empowering, and it's important to respect that. We here just hope to educate people on these identities! :]

    We'll be going into day 3 with grayromantic! 💚🤎🤍🤎💚

    Grayromantic, occasionally spelt gray-romantic or greyromantic, refers to a person who occasionally experiences romantic attraction. They do not frequently experience these attachments, but may do in some instances, usually with random, inconsistent factors.

    This term is often mixed-up with demiromantic, which is a label used by those who feel romantic attraction when they are closely bonded with a person.

    Like most romantic orientations, graysexual is the sexual orientation counterpart of grayromantic, which is a person who experiences sexual attraction occasionally. Just like every other label on the aromantic spectrum, grayromantics are capable of desiring and responding to sexual or emotional attraction, depending on the person's preference.

    Today's featured label is demiromantic! 🖤🤍💚🤎

    Demiromantic describes people who do not experience romantic attraction until they have formed a deep emotional connection with someone.

    This term is often commonly associated with its sexual orientation counterpart, demisexual, which describes a person who does not feel sexual attraction until they are close. It is also sometimes confused with the term greyromantic, but that defines somebody who only experiences limited romantic attraction.

    Just like other romantic orientations, being demiromantic does not affect a person's sexual orientation unless explicitly stated otherwise. Demiromantic people are still capable for wanting and returning physical affection, depending on one's personal preference.

    Not directly associated with this label, but those who are on the aromantic spectrum may wear a white ring on their left hand to subtly show their identity in public :)

    I think love is something that cuts way deeper than what society makes it out to be, it's something so natural and moving that is harder to experience in modern culture sadly. It's not about romance, or pleasing your crush, or self-love, or stuff like that. It's a tender care and appreciation for life, selflessness, and freedom. Freedom to be, exist and feel accepted unconditionally(and to accept unconditionally). We all want it deep down, so why is it so hard to do it? I think people are just way too wound up in the false narrative of what acceptance is... it's hard to escape :(
