Both 1.19 and 1.20 have crashing issues, same as the others with no proposed solution working (updating mods doesn't fix the issue, removing indium prevents from launching entirely, plenty of ram allocated, and so on).

My best bet is that it might be an OS-based issue. I'm playing on Fedora Linux, one of the other people that was having this issue was on Prism Launcher which is pretty popular on Linux and macOS, and another mentioned they were on Steam Deck, yet another person was using > for paths just like how it's displayed in macOS' finder. If this is the issue and you're not seeing it because you're on Windows, you might be able to re-create it by running Minecraft inside WSL2

Okay.
to make this clear i am using windows 10 and the AT Launcher to test and create the Packs.
I am also doing this alone in my free time so i might have to disappoint here but i neither have the bandwidth nor the time to test on different Setups.

So for anyone not running something similar its falls to yourself to test and find a fix on your Setup.

As for the Solutions discussed so far those were of course only tested on my Setup and found to help somewhat.

Some more Tips:
- if u remove one Mod like Indium you of course have to remove any other mod the might depend on it aswell before starting up again.
- updating Mods wont fix it, since that most likely will introduce more problems as mod compatibility is a very delicate thing
- ram allocation shouldn't go beyond 10 GB since that can also create new problems, so stay between 6-8 GB for the highest compatibility.
- depending from where u got the Pack also make sure to use the right fabric version that should be set from downloads on Curseforge or Modrinth.

I encountered a constant crashing issue. I went into a village and the game crashed. Now whenever I go into the world, I have a few seconds before the game ultimately crashes. Crash report: pastebin.com/EN3EudNU

You could try to change/update or remove Indium, Sodium and depending mods.
Other then that try and make a fresh install of the pack.

a fresh install unfortunately doesn't work. can't update any mods, because they're then incompatible with create. removing just indium; crashes while loading the game. removing sodium, indium and dependencies is the only thing that works, but it also halves my fps, not great.

Then I am afraid there is no real fix atm.
As there are mods still only in beta version and compatibility is still being worked on it might even be better to try it on another Minecraft version all together.

You could test cleaning up the world itself, like deleting config and session files, or try another launcher perhaps. I have found that some problems might be caused by the different in launchers used.

It's a very fun modpack, but one of my players on a server running this modpack has encountered an issue where they can't move, look around or do anything at all when joining the server. I think this is intentional because I also can't move until the world is loaded in, but in their case the world doesn't load in at all. All they can see is the skybox, their hotbar and the coordinate information on the top left corner (so no minimap). Would anyone have encountered the same problem before?

I have encountered this with the 1.20.1 version, however as u said it should only be until the world is loaded in.
If it is only happening for one person tho be sure to have them check thier side first, like RAM and Fabric version.
Those 2 in particular i have found to have a big impact.

Other then that i cant give much help, as i mostly test and optimize with singleplayer and not multiplayer.

Let me know if you find the cause and a fix for this issue in multiplayer.

I've been enjoying the modpack but I'm wondering if it's possible to reduce the amount of villages that can generate. I tried editing the config file from the mod Towns and Towers but it had no effect. The only way to affect village generation is to turn off structure generation in general. I noticed that world generation seems to ignore a lot of setting like flat world or large biomes too.

There is several mods that have to to with world gen like terralith and continents so it might be that those hinder the Standart Minecraft settings. As for villages there is also the overhaul mod so u might have to tinker with that aswell.

other then that I would suggest outright removing one or more of the generation / structure mods to decrease village frequency.
